About Somber Design
Somber Design was created on 8/17/2003 with the full intent of becoming a template revolutionary.

As a fellow diaryland writer, I wanted templates that were more fitting to me. So I created a page here to test my first layout. I got so many compliments on it, that I decided to give it a shot here. Again, I got a lot of compliments. I inspired her to make her own design too, which I threw together for her with an image she had in mind, and an outline. I also created one here, and still wanted to make more. Realizing that I couldn't make diaries solely for the purpose of putting a template on them, I created this place.

The name somberdesign came from my friend richard, who told me that my layouts were "depressive", and I realized that I like dark layouts, and I should share them with others who would understand that.

So I hope that you will all certainly enjoy these layouts, and if you use them.. PLEASE remember to leave a note on the tagboard. Thanks!
